YOU ARE INVITED...
To share a story of "Spirit at Work" for potential
inclusion in "A Spiritual Audit of the World's Workplaces."
Your story could be an example of how spirituality, consciousness,
values, and expressions of basic humanity are expressed in our workplaces.
Your example might be at the individual level, within teams
or work units, through organizational policies and processes, or extending to the impact on communities, our planet and its
example could be your own story, your own experience, or one that you observed, or even one that you heard about (maybe even
in another workplace).
I'd love to hear your story. We can include it either anonymously
or for attribution ... or, if you choose, we won't include it, but I'd love to hear it.
email me your story at Liz@LizDenton.com
Why are our stories of Spirit at Work important?
Whether I'm in dialogue with friends, colleagues, or
clients, they all tell me that they hunger for meaning and purpose in their lives; and because most of us spend an inordinate
amount of time "at work," the more consciousness and awareness we can bring to our workplaces, the more humane and
enlightened we and our organizations will be.
Research shows that when we actively listen to each other in a respectful, safe
environment, we are more likely to acknowledge our common humanity and our interconnectedness. We develop greater respect
and compassion at all levels, not only for individuals, but extending to our communities and our planet.
My underlying belief regarding the value of expressing the
human spirit in the workplace is that when we recognize our common spirituality, our basic humanity and interconnectedness,
this increases our commitment to a better world -- a world that is fair, respectful, equal, and honoring the worth and value
of each individual -- and a world that celebrates diversity in the expression of the human spirit.
