"A
SPIRITUAL AUDIT OF THE WORLD'S WORKPLACES:
SHARING OUR STORIES OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT AT WORK"
PRESENTED AT:
THE PARLIAMENT OF THE WORLD'S RELIGIONS
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA
Drawing on research published in "A Spiritual Audit of Corporate America" (1999) and "A Spiritual Audit of the World’s Workplaces"
(forthcoming), Dr. Elizabeth A. Denton presented conclusions, insights and stories of how spirituality
and consciousness are expressed in our global workplaces – at the individual level, within teams or
work units, through organizational policies and processes, and extending to the impact on communities and our planet and its
resources.
During this interactive workshop, participants shared dialogue in small groups
and shared stories and workplace examples of spirituality, consciousness, values, and expressions of basic humanity
– examples from their own experience or those they’ve observed.
Participants
learned how individuals and organizations in other countries, cultures, and traditions express their spirituality and basic
humanity in the workplace, and they took back multiple examples to implement in their own workplaces.
